Episode 13: Sign of Death

Air date: December 27th

Channel: TV Tokyo

Length: 23 minutes

Summary

The students have finally understood that Kazuki and Tokiko are on their side, and cheer them on. But Dr. Butterfly orders his monsters to combine into two gigantic homunculi, and the flask atop the school building begins to drain the life force of every being imprisoned in the school.

Time is pressing, and unexpectedly, Papillon appears and challenges Dr. Buttefly to a fight. (The question is: Can you stand seeing these two fight?)

Taking advantage of this, Kazuki and Tokiko hurry into the school building and towards the flask. Meanwhile, the battle between Captain Bravo and Moonface, back at LXE's headquarters, continues.

Compared to the manga...

This episode covers the chapters 39 to 42.

As usual, it follows the manga very closely, and the two notworthy battles, Captain Bravo against Moonface and Papillon against Dr. Butterfly, follow their original versions very closely, with minor changes, such as both Dr. Butterfly and Papillon taking much less damage at the end of their encounter.

Opinion

The costumes of the Chouno family are certainly a matter of taste. I do like Papillon very much, but his grandfather has always been going on my nerves. So on the one hand, I'm happy to see Papillon finally turn on him, on the other hand I didn't particularly enjoy this battle, simply because it had Dr. Butterfly. I'm biased. Hah.
