Episode 18: Escape

Air date: January 31st 2007

Channel: TV Tokyo

Length: ca. 24 minutes

Summary

While hiding out in the wilderness, Tokiko tells Kazuki and Gouta about her previous mission, when she found the kakugane that she ended up inserting into Kazuki's body, the black kakugane.

They know that they must go to that place, the Newton Apple Girls' Academy, and solve the mysteries surrounding the black kakugane.

Meanwhile, Captain Bravo has to answer to his superiours for his failure to kill Kazuki. He is given the order to complete his mission, and departs once more to fight Kazuki. His former team member and friend, Chitose, is given the task to gather a group of warriors for the battle against Victor. One of her recruits is none other than Shuusui.

And Papillon runs into Hiwatari, Negoro and Ikusabe, who, just like him, are searching for Kazuki...

Trivia

  • This episode is one of the least faithful to the manga, with a lot of original content.

  • The voice actor of the mysterious masked man from Tokiko's flashback is Takayuki Kondou, who also has a recurring role in Busou Renkin as Kouji Rokumasu.

  • The two committee members are voiced by the VAs of Okakura and Daihama, which means that even though Kazuki's three friends don't appear in this episode, their voices are still featured.
