Despite her young age and small size, Tokiko is an experienced renkin no senshi. Fighting the homunculi seems to be her entire goal in life, and she quite obviously hates them deeply. Tokiko goes about her missions in a merciless manner.
She can easily appear rather cold and reserved, but the girl also has a gentle side. After all, she saved Kazuki's life - and puts up with him.
Watsuki mentions that he was surprised about how easy it was to draw Tokiko, and then realized that her design was similar to that of Battousai from Rurouni Kenshin. Well, the resemblance does not only exist on a purely graphical level: The deadly and seemingly emotionless warrior, whose peaceful side needs to be awakened by someone... Doesn't this sound a little familiar?
One feature is destined to catch people's attention: the scar across her nose. I suppose I don't spoil anything when I say that Tokiko's scar is connected with some important and terrible events in her past...
