Story!
So what is Busou Renkin, what is it about and what is it like? Back in 2004, I wrote a first Introduction, which can still be found linked to the left.
Chances are that my interests and views have changed now, though, and in the context of the anime adaptation and a lot of translations available now, I believe that Busou Renkin deserves a more up-to-date look. Especially since the series is finished now and it's therefore easier to speak about it, anyway.
You can expect further introductory texts coming up later, dealing with the publication history of Busou Renkin, its reception and the sadly numerous reproaches that were made towards the story.
One thing that needs to be said, and cannot be said too often, is that Busou Renkin is rather different from Rurouni Kenshin, and you should not expect a series that is thematically or atmopsherically similar to it.
